How to send the timecode generated from SMPTE Reader to an other Sequencer.

SMPTE Reader generates MTC from a SMPTE LTC fed into an input of your audio interface.

You can send the generated MTC to every MIDI destination port on your system — usually output ports of MIDI Interfaces.

If you want to send the MTC to an other application running on your computer (like a sequencer software) you can do this by using the IAC Bus.

The IAC Bus (the Interapplication Control Bus) is a kind of virtual MIDI device which is available to all MIDI applications on your computer.

Open the Audio MIDI Setup application of your Mac – it is found in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder.

• Have a look for the MIDI devices
• Double click the IAC Driver icon – a window will show up where you can find a checkbox to enable the IAC Bus.

Now, select the IAC Bus as MTC destination in SMPTE Reader. The generated MTC will be available to other applications now.
